A PC can be used for more than just gaming, it can be used for work or home purposes

CON: Complexity of the gaming hardware
For console gaming hardware you typically go to the store, purchase one piece of hardware, bring it home, plug it in and start gaming, knowing that your console has been purpose built to run all of the current games without any issues. Conversely gaming PCs are typically built from a dizzying array of individual components from multiple different manufacturers all with their own performance and compatibility considerations, each of these individual components will require specific software drivers to be installed.
CON: More difficult to set up
Physically installing components, dealing with Microsoft Windows installation and maintenance issues requires a certain level of expertise, or at least willingness to invest the time to learn how to assemble, install and maintain the system.
CON: Viruses and security breaches
PCs are much more viable to viruses and other security breaches that can infect your device
